  Very beautiful church. Adoration in back chapel. Priests are traditional, have a Latin Mass on Sunday.

  I have discoverd over the years that "SJB"," located on Baker Street in Costa Mesa, California, is probably the most pleasant, welcoming, well-run Catholic Church I have attended. The Norbertine Priests are dedicated and personable. I am told the SJB grade school consistently ranks highest in Orange County. And the administration has the knack for doing most everything right. The Masses are offered in English, Latin, Spanish and Vietnamese. There is also an active Filipino community there, that always has something in the works. SJB's yearly "Baker Street Bash" (among many fun events) always sells out. I highly recommend SJB to Catholics and non-Catholics. And to all African Americans living in the OC (and elsewhere) who have wondered about Catholicism and what I call "solemn celebration" worship, please consider St. John The Baptist in Costa Mesa. And return often!

  at 12:30 PM Sunday. They offer Traditional Latin Mass. For Latin Mass have Gregorian chant choir along with traditional Pipe organ. This is one of rare occasion , one can hear Gregorian Chant sung in Latin in ancient form in real Mass. You don't have to be Catholic to attend Mass, just have to dress some what conservatively like No short, No showing Leg, shoulder for men and woman. And During communion, either just stay sitting down on pew, or just walk around back ( for those who are not Catholic ).
